    Polly came out his hammock after shedding or also called molting his exoskeleton, or skin. It was a lot of work for him. He was in his silk hammock he made for 2 weeks without eating so he was sure hungry! He was happy when I gave him a worm. Not a worm you find outside in the garden, I give Poly what's called a wax worm, wax worms are white and fat. He will eat every few days or he will eat and eat and eat! Jumping spiders also eat other bugs such as crickets, flies, different kinds of worms. Right now Polly's favorite bugs to eat are wax worms, small crickets and fruit flies. Jumping spiders also like watermelon, strawberries, honey mixed with water and sugar water! Sounds kind of funny that a spider would like fruit and sugar doesn't it!?
